EasyBallot (“App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Great Sitkin Technologies LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Data We Store
On your device: Your political profile, survey answers, ballot selections, AI-generated recommendations, and related app data are stored locally on your device (in the App’s on-device database). EasyBallot does not currently operate an application server that stores this content for you. If you delete the App or clear its data, this information is removed from that device and is not recoverable from us.
Anthropic API key: Stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain on your device and never transmitted to EasyBallot or Great Sitkin Technologies LLC.
Account credentials: Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). Your account identifiers (such as email and Firebase user ID) are processed by Firebase so you can sign in. They are not used by us to host a copy of your political profile or ballot data.
Because profile and ballot data live on-device, they do not automatically sync across devices or survive reinstalls unless and until a future version adds optional cloud sync — which would be disclosed in an updated policy.
2. Data Transmitted to Third Parties
Anthropic API: When you trigger in-app AI features (such as candidate research or profile synthesis), relevant portions of your political profile and research requests are sent from your device directly to Anthropic’s API. Anthropic processes that data under its own Privacy Policy. Your API key is transmitted only from your device to Anthropic — never through EasyBallot servers.
External AI apps (optional): If you choose to open a research prompt in another app (for example, Claude), the prompt content you elect to send is handed off via that app’s link or share mechanism and is governed by that provider’s policies.
Ballot data providers: Your address or geographic details (such as street, city, state, or ZIP) may be sent to third-party election data services so the App can identify elections and races for your jurisdiction.
Firebase Authentication (Google): Your email address and authentication credentials are processed by Firebase. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not operate ads or sell your data. Transmission to the providers above happens only as needed to provide the features you use.
3. What We Do NOT Do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your political views with advertisers, campaigns, political parties, or government entities for their use. We do not use advertising SDKs. We do not use analytics SDKs that profile you for advertising.
4. Your API Key
Your Anthropic API key is stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain on your device and transmitted only to Anthropic’s servers when you use AI features. EasyBallot never stores your API key on our servers and we do not have a separate copy of it.
5. Children’s Privacy
EasyBallot is not directed at children under 17 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
6. Data Deletion
Delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This removes your local political profile, ballot history, and related on-device data, and deletes your Firebase Authentication account. Uninstalling the App also removes on-device data for that installation.
7. Changes
We may update this policy and will notify you in the App or by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
